- The Buraq Wall is a part of the western wall of the Al-Aqsa Mosque. It is associated with the night journey of Israa and Miraj, as it was the most likely place where the Prophet -peace be upon him – fastened "Buraq" , i.e. the animal that he rode in that miraculous journey, before he entered the mosque.

- Anas bin Malik - may Allah be pleased with him – narrated that the Messenger of Allah- peace be upon him- said: "I was given the Buraq (to ride); it is a long white-colored beast that is larger than an ass but smaller than a mule and it puts its hoof at the far end of its sight". He (i.e the Messenger) added: "I rode it till I arrived at Baytul-Maqdes (Holy House)". He proceeded: "I fastened it to the ring to which the (earlier) prophets used to fasten it to".
