-       فصّل القرآن الكريم والسنة النبوية تاريخ بني إسرائيل في أكثر من موضع، فلم يشر إلى "هيكل" أو  "معبد"، بل سمى "بيت المقدس" باسم "المسجد الأقصى" أو "مسجد إيلياء".

 

The Holy Quran and the Sunnah provide detailed description of the history of the children of Israel in many chapters. None of their texts made a single reference to a "structure" or a "temple" in regard to the Holy Land. However, in many occasions, reference was made to the Holy House, " Baytul-Maqdes ", as the "Al-Aqsa Mosque" or the Mosque of Ilyaa".
